About Us

I grew up loving astrology. I read about my sign, connected with it, identified with it for years. It never occurred to me to question the information I was reading. Why would it be wrong?

Then I learned there's a 13th sign. The Sun physically passes through a constellation called Ophiuchus every year, sitting right between Scorpius and Sagittarius. I wondered why it wasn't included, and when I dug into it, I found out the creator of the tropical zodiac, Claudius Ptolemy, wanted a clean number that matched the 12 months and the seasons. So he left it out. He also froze the zodiac in place around 150 AD, and over the past 2,000 years the Earth's wobble has shifted that frozen frame about 24 degrees away from the actual stars. When I looked up where the Sun really was the day I was born, it wasn't in Virgo. It was in Leo.

I love astrology because it is the language of the stars. But pausing the sky and removing a constellation simply makes the information false. I started looking for apps that showed real positions, and while a few existed, most were confusing and none of them explained the history behind why the systems differ. I wanted to create a space that allows people to learn, connect, and discover more about themselves and others.

So I built True Stars.

When you enter your birth details, True Stars calculates exactly where every planet was sitting among the constellations at that moment. Not an approximation. The actual position, verified against the same astronomical data used by observatories and researchers.

But this isn't just a chart generator. I wanted True Stars to be a place where people feel empowered by what they learn. Where you can look at your real sky, understand what it means, and connect with others who value accuracy over tradition.
